Show Me The Money!

Posted by roanna on July 26th, 2010

Well, you guys seem to always notice things way before than anyone else. We’re glad that you like and appreciate the fact that we’ve incorporated the new Rupee currency symbol on our burrp! site. The swanky symbol is all over our search results pages when you search for restaurants of interest to you and also when you go to an establishment detail page now, you’ll be able to see it in place of the dollar icon of the ‘Price’ feature (yeah, you guessed right)! The genius of the fact is that we can totally show off this new symbol as much as possible.

Now, among the government, D.Udaya Kumar (who designed this symbol) and us, we are oh-so-proud of brandishing this brand new baby all over the place! So what do you think, guys?

Hit us with your thoughts and comments. You know we love you. : )

Introducing Facebook Connect on burrp!

Posted by roanna on July 9th, 2010

Hey! burrpers, we’re happy to announce Facebook Connect on burrp!

OMG, what does this mean?

It simply means that the registration and login process on burrp! is simpler now. All you need to do now is to click on the link to Sign-Up or Sign-In into burrp! through Facebook. You already have a Facebook account, na? We thought so too.

What if I already have a burrp! account?

Existing burrp! account holders can also use this feature by linking their burrp! accounts with their Facebook accounts. Just click on the Facebook Connect link. Once the accounts are linked, you can either use your existing username and password combination to Sign-In into burrp! or just use Facebook Connect.

We value your privacy so we won’t be posting back any information on your Facebook wall unless permitted explicitly by you.

If you’ve not yet registered on burrp!, you can now do so with this one simple and easy step. We promise to love you forever.

Cool? Tell us what you think.

Of Change & Good Karma!

The burrp! team has been on their toes to come up with a homepage designed for better accessibility and user-friendliness. To make it easy for you to explore the best places to eat at, to scourge for the latest events, to look for the best gyms and salons or to make the most of shopping deals and bargains at your favourite stores, and to know about everything that’s happening on T.V; we’re here to help you make your choice.

Through this process - you, our valuable user, will be the centre of our efforts. Our editorial team has categorised more content to build richer verticals for food, events, shopping bargains, health, beauty, entertainment (including movies, theatre and T.V) and much more to bring to you what’s hot in your city.  Our technical team is working hard to provide you with the best user experience. With the greatest of resources at your disposal, you will soon be able to find relevant information at the click of your mouse-button.

We’d love to hear your thoughts; your feedback is what counts most for us. Please e-mail us at info@burrp.com with your thoughts, bouquets and brickbats.

‘Call Now’!

Posted by roanna on May 25th, 2010

burrp! just got cooler, if that’s possible. : ) With a brand new feature designed to enable better mobility for the burrper on the move and otherwise, we have the Call Now feature placed as a tab under every business on the burrp! website.  Clicking on this tab will directly connect you to the respective business for free.

How It Works: As you click on the tab (indicated by the red arrow in the picture below), the application connects the business with your number. In case you are not signed in to burrp! the application requests your name and mobile number to connect to.

So, if there’s a place in town you want to find out more about, book a reservation or just put forth general enquiries, you know what to do! Try the ‘Call Now’ feature, and let us know what you think!
