Our discussion of maps can be found here.  The 21 million dollar question is always “well, how do you make money?” Banner ads from the big internet players that obviously have large marketing budgets (the slew of travel portals, the matrimonial sites, the larger FIs, etc.) are the low hanging fruit for any consumer-facing internet business in India - not really what you’d call sustainable business model. If you are creative enough, there are some neat opportunities that could scale well (variations of SMS marketing, mobile couponing, event ticketing, lead generation, etc.). We’re tinkering with all of these, and more ;-).

Methinks your idea is timely, and sounds extremely useful, especially in fast crowding-up, burgeoning cosmo-cities like Mum, Chn, Del, Kolk, Pune, Hyd, B’lore et al.

Why not tie-up with the local FM Radio stations to generate more traffic, beginning Mumbai first? Your site has the terrific advantage of growing with more topicality and immediacy.

And methinks that there last word could do the trick for you, but then that there’s just what methinks. Heh!
