hey gang. exciting day for us here. users have frequently been asking us more and more about how to get more real-time information about their particular localities; “how do i know when something new comes around in my area? what about when something shuts down” very good questions, we thought to ourselves. but it didn’t stop at thinking - we went out and did something about. users can now activate their mobile phones with burrp! and subscribe to local alerts via sms, and it’s totally free! all you have to do is log on to burrp! specify your locality, and pick the types of local alerts that are important to you. you will have to be a registered user to take advantage of this service, but signing up is super easy as well. as of now, your three local alert choices are:

1. getting an sms alert every time a new place is added to burrp! in your locality
2. getting an sms alert every time a place in your locality is reviewed
3. getting an sms alert every time a place shuts down in your locality
